Ogi is made from ground maize. It is a popular staple food amongst several African ethnic groups. In Nigeria, the Igbos call it Akamu, some South Africans call it ugali while it is called sadza in Zimbabwe. Ogi can be accompanied with several savouries such as green vegetables, chilli, etc. It can be had as breakfast with milk and sugar or served with meat and tomato stew as a staple food.
